Trip2Learn – Student Health Insurance Platform

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the student insurance booking platform operated under the brand Trip2Learn.
By accessing, using, or purchasing an insurance policy through this platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Role of Trip2Learn
Trip2Learn acts as an authorized intermediary and official representative of BMS Group for the distribution of student insurance products under the Universitas Mundi brand.
Trip2Learn:
- Is not an insurance company
- Does not underwrite or issue insurance policies
- Facilitates comparison, application processing, documentation handling, payment coordination, and communication between the applicant and the insurer

3. About Universitas Mundi (BMS Group)
Universitas Mundi is an insurance solution developed by BMS Group to meet the needs of:
- International students studying in Spain
- Spanish students studying abroad
- Participants in academic mobility, language programs, internships, and professional training
The insurance products offered:
- Comply with Spanish student visa requirements
- Meet standards required by Spanish Universities (CRUE)
- Are accepted by Spanish Consulates, Embassies, and Immigration Authorities
- Comply with Real Decreto 557/2011
4. Insurance Coverage & Visa Compliance
Depending on the selected plan, coverage includes:
- Medical consultations (general practitioners and specialists)
- 24/7 emergency medical assistance
- Hospitalisation
- Surgeries (inpatient and outpatient)
- Diagnostic tests (including imaging and laboratory services)
- Dental coverage
- Civil Liability (Responsabilidad Civil)
- Repatriation of remains
All policies are issued with:
- No copago (no co-payment)
- No carencia (no waiting period)
Coverage is valid throughout Spain and must match the full duration of the applicant’s academic program or stay, as indicated in the admission letter or visa documentation.

5. Online Contracting Process
All insurance policies are contracted 100% online.
The application process includes:
- Entering coverage dates and date of birth
- Selecting an available insurance plan
- Completing personal and academic details
- Uploading required documentation (passport and admission letter/visa letter)
- Reviewing the price breakdown (insurance premium and facilitation fee)
- Making secure payment by card
Upon successful payment:
- Payment confirmation is issued immediately
- The insurance certificate is issued within the timeframe specified by the selected insurer
- The certificate is sent to the email address provided by the applicant
Applicants are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate and complete
6. Coverage Duration & Renewal
The selected coverage period must correspond to the duration stated in the applicant’s admission letter, visa documentation, or official stay authorization.
If the academic program or stay is extended, a renewal or new policy may be purchased to maintain continuous coverage.
Continuous compliance with visa requirements remains the responsibility of the applicant.
7. Facilitation / Administration Fee
Trip2Learn applies a facilitation and administration fee for managing the insurance process and providing coordination services.
This fee:
- Is clearly displayed as a separate line item in the price breakdown before payment
- Is added to the insurance premium to determine the final total payable amount
Applicable facilitation fees:
- 1–2 months: €25
- 3 months: €30
- 4–7 months: €60
- 8–12 months: €80
The facilitation fee covers administrative coordination, documentation handling, communication with the insurer, and platform services.
8. Discount Coupons
Where applicable, a valid coupon may be applied during checkout.
Coupon conditions:
- A €30 discount may be applied
- Only one coupon may be used per booking
- Coupons are valid only for long-term bookings of 8 months or more
- The facilitation fee remains unaffected for refund purposes
Trip2Learn reserves the right to validate coupon eligibility.
9. Visa Rejection & Refund Policy
In the event of official student visa refusal:
- The insurance premium is refunded.
- The applicable facilitation/administration fee is retained.
- The refund is processed directly by the insurance company.
- Trip2Learn facilitates coordination between the applicant and the insurer.
To request a refund, the applicant must email info@culturalcourses.com and provide:
- Full name
- Insurance policy document
- Passport copy
- Official visa rejection letter issued by the Spanish Embassy or Consulate
Refund processing timelines depend on insurer verification and payment provider procedures.
10. Errors & Corrections
Applicants must review all personal and coverage details before completing payment.
If an error is identified after issuance, the applicant must contact info@culturalcourses.com
Trip2Learn will coordinate correction requests with the insurer. All modifications are subject to insurer approval.
11. Claims & Medical Assistance
All medical claims, reimbursements, and emergency services are handled directly by the insurer through BMS Group (Universitas Mundi).
For claims and insurer-level assistance, applicants may contact universitasmundi@bmsgroup.com
Trip2Learn may assist with communication but does not manage claims or make coverage decisions.
12. Emergency Contact Requirement
Providing emergency contact details is required as part of the application process.
This contact may be used by the insurer if they are unable to reach the insured in an urgent or important situation. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact is aware their details have been provided.
13. Data Protection
All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
Data is:
- Used solely for insurance processing and compliance purposes
- Shared only with authorized insurance partners
- Stored securely
14. Limitation of Liability
Trip2Learn is not responsible for
- Visa approval or rejection decisions
- Decisions made by immigration authorities
- Medical decisions made by healthcare providers
The insurer remains solely responsible for policy coverage, claims processing, and medical assistance services.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By completing payment, the applicant confirms that
- They understand Trip2Learn’s role as an intermediary
- They have reviewed the insurance premium and facilitation fee
- They agree to these Terms & Conditions
